Proposal on extending the application until 31 December 2021 of the maximum regional state aid intensity for the period 2014 - 2020
Currently, Member States can grant state aid with a regional objective based on national regional aid maps for the period 2014-2020.
We present below the maximum intensity for Romania for the period 2014 - 2020 which has been extended until 31 December 2021.

The amendment aims to have an impact on the competitive environment the field of state aid and on administrative tasks by contributing to the development of the business environment.
For regions with high development potential such as the Bucharest-Ilfov region, North-Vest region, this project provides a legal framework for the continuation of the financing mechanism established by the regional state aid schemes initiated by the central and local public administration authorities.
Note that the map on the maximum intensity of regional state aid most probably will change as of 2022, so that more developed regions would be eliminated, while the intensities for other regions would be reduced. In this context, we recommend you to make your investment plan in time and make a decision towards the location of the investment so that you can benefit from the above mentioned regional state aid intensities.
